PEOPLE IN SPACE/OAKMAN INNS
The interior designers People In Space contacted me to create a set of 4 large-scale chalkboards for the drinks menus at the latest branch of Beech House bar and restaurant owned by Oakman Inns.
The brief was to create a quirky, 'cool' but mainstream chalkboard look to emulate that found in independantly owned coffee bars.
I created 2 different hand-drawn fonts to work sympathetically with each other and added an extra degree of 'creativity' with additional small illustrations to convey the drinks on the menu namely Coffee, Tea, Gin and Craft Beers.
A further set was created for the relaunch of the Beech House in Beaconsfield helping strengthen the brand continuity across the 2 sites and I continously update as requested thoughout the year.
EVENT BOARDS
I've worked on a number of chalkboards in white and in colour for private events, weddings and childrens parties.
LULU COFFEE ROASTERS
LuLu Coffee Roasters wanted a giant board 8'x4' blackboard designing for their new venture at St Margarets. It was important not only to display the list of produce but also include information on the provenance of their food and drink with a few bold illustrations.

A-board and interior wall art for St Albans based gift shop Raindrops On Roses. (And me in action!)
HEARTWOOD CANDLE COMPANY
I was asked to create a blackboard design for Heartwood Candle Company for the Herts County Show, in line with the 'natural' branding of the company and to highlight reference to the organic origins of the products. Laura and Dominique wanted something decorative that would attract people to their stand.
It worked - and I was recommissioned to create a minature version of this board for their retail stockist The National Trust at Shaws Corner.
